PAWTUCKET, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island’s attorney general has launched this year’s winter clothing collection drive with the Neighborhood Alliance of Pawtucket.
Attorney General Peter Kilmartin’s office and the alliance will be taking donations of winter apparel for the annual “Warm Hearts, Coats & Stuff” drive through Nov. 24.
Items being accepted include new or slightly worn coats, scarves, hats and gloves for children and adults. They can be dropped off at the attorney general’s office in Providence on South Main Street.
Kilmartin says no one should have to worry about buying a winter coat for themselves or their children and that the drive is an easy way for people to help those in need.
