Hawaii fashion is taking over the Hawaii Convention Center over the next several days.

Models strut down the runway wearing trendy threads made right here in Hawaii.

International model Audrey Ayaka was one of the faces on the catwalk.

“Hawaii has so many new and upcoming designers and I think it’s about time that the world knows about them,” said Ayaka. “I think it’s awesome that they’ve incorporated it into Honolulu’s first fashion week.”

Honolulu Fashion Week opens to the general public Friday at 2 p.m. and will feature local pop up boutiques and more runway shows.
