Karlie Kloss receives honor in home state – New York Post

Meet me in St. Louis — and we’ll go shopping.

The Show Me State is becoming surprisingly stylish, with some of fashion’s hottest names, like Yigal Azrouël, Timo Weiland and Tess Giberson, heading to the Midwest last week to show their latest collections.

The shows were part of a threeday series to support the Saint Louis Fashion Fund, which included an event honoring It girl Karlie Kloss, who grew up in St. Louis.

“People might not instantly think of St. Louis as a fashion mecca, but we’re changing that,” Azrouël tells Threads. “My show is about bringing edge and a more modern outlook than just cotton-candy pink to St. Louis. Not that I’m against cotton candy; it was invented here.”

Hey, if Karlie grew up eating the pink stuff, we’ll take two.
