Lara Stone has been exercising vigorously since the birth of her first child, and it shows.
The 30-year-old Dutch supermodel looks body-confident in her new ads for Calvin Klein, the brand that she models for exclusively.
The Bardot-esque beauty is the face and body of the #mycalvins campaign, which encourages social media users to share images of themselves in Calvin Klein branded underwear and/or jeans. She shares some of the spotlight with American male model Matt Terry.
Stone, who is married to comedian David Walliams, started training six weeks after having their son, Alfred, with James Duigan of cult London gym Bodyism (he is the man who has helped sculpt Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Elle Macpherson’s desirable bodies).
But the model, who is known for her curves, isn’t creating any illusions about snapping back into shape.
“By about nine months [after the birth] I began feeling more normal and I started to fit into my old clothes again, but my body still felt different,” she told Net-A-Porter’s
“My ribs had expanded because Alfred was really high up, so for the longest time I couldn’t fit any dresses higher than my waist.”
In maternity clothes from around nine weeks, Stone also recently revealed that weight gain in the early stages of her pregnancy saw her turned away from a job.
She explained: “I was just eating whatever I wanted; I wasn’t being careful about that at all. I was huge. Maybe in hindsight… No, I don’t give a s***. It was great!”
Ultimately, Stone has reached the point where she is not going to get hung up about her weight.
“Everyone’s got arm flab or saggy boobs. It’s the way it is. I’m just trying to accept it right now. And it’s OK, because the things women can do with their bodies are amazing,” she says, adding: “You have to sit there and really think about it: ‘Oh, I grew this little person’s fingernails in my tummy.’ After that, do you really give a s*** about arm flab? Because I don’t.”
And judging by this new set of images, we really don’t think Lara has anything to worry about.
