SAN ANTONIO — Model Alicia Aguilar, 19, of San Antonio, has been making a name for herself the past three years working for JCPenney, Nordstrom, Watters Bridal, Sheplers and other fashion and beauty brands.
But deep down, she’s a math and science aficionado and is studying to become a veterinarian.
The University of the Incarnate Word High School graduate is a biology major enrolled online with Texas A&M University in College Station.
Weekly, she’s in Dallas shooting fashion spreads for Penney’s and is among a group of young women known as the JCPenney girls — regulars for the brand. In August, she said she’ll be in Singapore for editorial shoots for various magazines and designers.
Does she have a boyfriend? “Oh, no. Boys just want to have a good time, and I don’t have time to have a good time,” she said. “I want to work and save my money.”
