See Agyness Deyn’s shocking transformation from edgy punk catwalk queen to … – Mirror.co.uk
Remember when Agyness Deyn burst onto the modelling scene with her striking peroxide blonde pixie crop fronting campaigns for Burberry, Vivienne Westwood and Mulberry?
Fast forward 10 years, and the 31-year-old has swapped the catwalk for Hollywood, edgy for demure girl-next-door, and the party scene for married life.
Agyness, who tied the knot with American actor Giovanni Ribisi in 2012, showcased her shock transformation at a screening of new film Electricity at the BFI London Film Festival, which see her play the role of Lily O’Connor.
Posing on the red carpet in a silk over-the-knee black dress with her shoulder length red looks falling loosely over her shoulders, the star looked a world away from her old modelling image.
Back in 2012 she admitted she hadn’t done any modelling work for around four years.
“I suppose I have stopped modelling officially. I’ve not done any for a good long while now.
“I think it was about four years ago when my feeling were changing towards the industry,” she said at the time.
Since 2010 she’s starred in a handful of films, including Hollywood blockbuster Clash of the Titans, where she starred as Aphrodite.
Her current role in Electricity is a candid portrayal of epilepsy as her character struggles to find her long lost brother while coping with uncontrolled seizures.
